Jeremy's Private Train (Version 1)

Locomotive Services Limited's immaculately presented Class 90, 90001 "Royal Scot" leads the Private Train of Jeremy Hosking (LSL's owner) over the Dutton Viaduct in Cheshire.

The Private Train was on its inaugural run, heading for a long-weekend in the Scottish Highlands. This first part of the outbound leg was 1Z40 Euston to Mossend Down Yard, with 2x 37s then taking the train forward for the weekend from there.

The Private Train for this first run comprised the following:

6311 Mk1 Generator car - providing Three Phase ETS to the coaches, which have been modified accordingly.

17159 Mk2d BFK - the brake coach for the consist.

10520* Mk3a SLEP - Sleeping Car - for staff / crew / guests.

6708* Mk2f RLO "Mount Helicon" - housing "The Hippocrene Bar". This has already been used as part of the Statesman Rail stock and is a similar format to its previous incarnation as a lounge on the sleeper, but fully refurbished and upgraded to a very high standard as an exclusive bar car.

99993 (ex TSO Mk1 5067) Dining Car - an exquisite club car recently refurbished.

6706* Mk2f RLO "Mount (M)Gahinga" - this is the first of two ex-sleeper Mk2s that have been modified and fully refitted to a very high standard for specific use in Mr. Hosking's Private Train. It is understood to be a lounge/sitting room.

6705* Mk2f RLO "Ardnamurchan" - this has been heavily modified and is the master bedroom. Reports from those who have peered through the windows during its initial tour indicate it comprises a bathroom and a master bedroom which looks out onto an observation area at the back of the coach. This includes opening glass doors where the gangway was to form a viewing balcony.

*Former Caledonian Sleeper stock until replacement by Mk5s in mid/late 2019.
