Depot Shunts

A view of Locomotive Services Limited's Crewe Diesel Depot as one of the depot pilots, Class 08, 08483 "Bungle" is hard at work performing various stock moves.

 

Having deposited BR Inspection Saloon 999509 into the middle road between the two sheds ready for road transport to Chesterfield, the gronk was heading for its next duty. This was to bring out two Mk2 coaches that were to form part of Jeremy Hosking's private train for its debut the following weekend. The tail lights of one, 6705, can just be seen in the shed (10 Road).
