Retro InterCity
The low bright autumn morning light didn't make for a particularly good image of 90002 "Wolf of Badenoch" as it flew through Hartford on a test/training run to Preston (5Z90) however it does give the image a bit of a 1990s retro feel I think!
Locomotive Services Limited's InterCity-liveried Class 90 was undertaking a series of runs along with ex-Greater Anglia Mk3 stock (soon to be repainted into InterCity too) as part of preparations for LSL's new InterCity charter offering starting later in 2020.
Class 82 Mk3 DVT, 82139, was on the rear on its first mainline outing in its new InterCity Swallow regalia.
The itinerary for its debut year has now been released, starting with the Royal Scot on 21 November from Euston to Glasgow and the Midland Scot on 5 December from Birmingham to Glasgow, before a full season commencing in April 2021.
