Rescue Run

Locomotive Services Limited's Class 90, 90002 "Wolf of Badenoch" charges past Chorlton on the approach to Crewe towing poorly LSL Class 47, 47501 (D1944) "Craftsman".

The 47 had suffered issues the previous evening on the return leg of The Dartmouth Regatta Statesman tour to Rugby and was left there when sister engine 805 took the ECS solo north to Crewe for The Lakelander the next morning.

90002 then ran down to Rugby in the afternoon to recover the stricken Duff and return her to Crewe Diesel Depot for attention.
