Dashing Debussy and Dormant Towers
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92043 (formerly named Debussy) dashes through Daresbury with an additional Caledonian Sleeper ECS working from Polmadie to Euston (3Z12).
This was required to get a unit south after a stock fault caused the cancellation of the Up Lowlander (1M12) the night before. Whilst the path was to Wembley, the stock ultimately was taken direct to Euston to form the Down Lowlander. As such this was a c.400 mile ECS move from the depot to form the train for that night's service!
In the background is the now dormant Fiddlers Ferry coal-fired power station, which was disconnected from the National Grid on 31 March 2020.
