ScotRail and Sunshine

Class 47s finally on both ends of The North Pennine Staycation Express ECS as Crewe Diesel Preservation Group's Class 47, 47712 "Lady Diana Spencer" leads 5Z47 Crewe to Appleby across the Dutton Viaduct.

47 712 had been the intended traction to work with 47 593 (out of shot) during the first three weeks of the Rail Charter Services' tourist trains on the Settle & Carlisle line, however an OTMR fault had kept her side-lined at Crewe Diesel Depot.

With that finally fixed, the CPDG engine - on long-term hire to LSL - was able to take its place on the charters.
