Take Two
After Locomotive Services Limited's 37 521 failed earlier in the day on the ECS move for the next round of Rail Charter Services tourist trains, 47593 (which had been on the rear of the move) hauled the consist back to Crewe from Blackburn.
With no other LSL diesels available, super-sub Class 37, 37407 "Blackpool Tower" was called-up from neighbours Direct Rail Services and a rearranged path was put in to get the ECS from Crewe to Appleby.
Crossing the Dutton Viaduct at the second attempt, 37407 "Blackpool Tower" leads 5Z49 Crewe DHS to Appleby North East Sidings, with Class 47, 47593 "Galloway Princess" on the rear completing the BR Large Logo matching pair.
