After Locomotive Services Limited Class 37, 37 521 (out of sight on the rear) failed on the ECS move for the next round of Rail Charter Services tourist trains, 5Z47 was put in at Blackburn. The trailing loco, Class 47, 47593 "Galloway Princess" was then used to haul the consist back to Crewe.
Crossing the Dutton Viaduct on its way back to base, the return ECS move was 76 Early against its hastily arranged path. With no other LSL diesel currently available, a DRS hire-in was requisitioned to step in for the beleaguered 37 521.
