Early Bird
The Caledonian Sleeper Up Highlander (1M16) has typically been 15-20 minutes early through mid-Cheshire during recent times with the lighter traffic on the WCML during the Covid-19 lockdown, but I think 38 minutes early might be a new 'record' of sorts.
Not hanging around on the front of the 15-coach overnight train was GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92028 as it passed through Winsford station at 04:47.
A revised timetable was in operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with only the Inverness and Glasgow portions running and splitting/joining at Edinburgh to form one train in each direction on the WCML.
