Ten Seconds Too Early
Running 17 minutes early, GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92028 hammers through Hartford with the Caledonian Sleeper Up Highlander (1M16) about 10 seconds before the station lights came on.
The lights would have brightened things up on another overcast late-June morning, but thankfully the bright GBRf gold and blue colours come out OK in the low light anyway.
A revised timetable was in operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with only the Inverness and Glasgow portions running and splitting/joining at Edinburgh to form one train in each direction on the WCML. 92028 had also worked the Glasgow-Edinburgh portion (1C16) prior to working 1M16 from Waverley.
