Post-Lockdown Workout
Having only recently returned to active traffic after spending a couple of years as a stock heater for Greater Anglia at Ilford Depot, DB Cargo Class 90, 90034 was being put through its paces hauling 4S47 solo through Acton Bridge.
A multi-working fault had meant 90019 "Multimodal" had ended up working 4M25 south from Warrington earlier in the day solo, with its partner DIT. 90034 then returned the favour on the return northbound working - 4S47 19:16 Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) to Mossend Euroterminal.
The train diverted into Arpley Sidings and was topped by a Class 66 there to ensure there were no issues getting up the steep inclines further north such as Shap and Beattock.
