Into the Groove
GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92028 makes light work of the Caledonian Sleeper Up Highlander (1M16) as it glides through Acton Bridge on a clear and crisp morning running 13 Early.
028 has a bit of reputation for being temperamental and has a chequered history on the Beds (especially in the very early days). However, the engine formerly known as Saint Saëns is currently enjoying a good run of form... must be time to stop it for an exam!
A revised timetable was in operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with only the Inverness and Glasgow portions running and splitting/joining at Edinburgh to form one train in each direction on the WCML.
