Going The Long Way Round

Due to a landslip by Dutton Viaduct (just south of Weaver Junction) all Caledonian Sleeper services were diverted via Manchester for a couple of nights.

 

Well into its stride through a dimly lit Chelford station, GB Railfreight Class 92, 92020 works the Down Highlander (1S25) between Crewe and Manchester. The diversion would then continue via Chat Moss to rejoin the booked route at Golborne Junction.
