Booked Route
Due to a landslip by Dutton Viaduct (just south of Weaver Junction) all Caledonian Sleeper services were diverted via Chat Moss and Manchester for a couple of nights. On the third night the Lowlanders were again diverted, but the Highlander services were back on their booked route.
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92020 was in charge of the first southbound sleeper over the viaduct, working 1M16 south through Acton Bridge. Despite the 20 mph slack at the viaduct only being a short stretch prior to Acton Bridge, 020 had unleashed all her 6,700hp and was back up to full speed and rapidly chalking off the delay minutes.
