Couperin at Crewe

GB Raifreight Class 92, 92 044 "Couperin" works a mainline run under her own power for what is very likely to be the last time in her original 1995-issue Railfreight "Triple Grey" livery.

044 had run up light engine from Wembley as 0Z91 and after a momentary pause in Platform 8 at Crewe headed back out to the siding in Crewe neck awaiting her tow to Brush early in the New Year.

92044 is due to head into Brush on 2nd January for her long awaited overhaul. As part of this she'll lose its legendary tunnel rings and Crewe IEMD depot shield. It will be a shame to see Couperin lose her original paintwork - which still looks decent 24 years on. Nothing last forever, though, and she does need a new lick of paint (as well as the F Exam!)
