Derelict Duo
Freightliner's stored and very derelict Class 90, 90050 has seen far better days. Withdrawn in December 2004 after suffering a serious fire, it has been alleviated of many parts over the years and is now little more than a rusting shell.
Behind 90050 is an electric loco in an equally demic state - ex-Virgin Trains-liveried Class 86/2, 86251 (formerly "The Birmingham Post"). The 86/2 was stored in October 2002 and had been at Long Marston for several years before being acquired in March 2016 as spares donor by Freightliner for its 86/6 fleet.
Visible in the background of this shot are 88001 "Revolution" at the head of 4S44, 86637 in front of the VMF, 70007 and the roof of 66558.
