Photter Spotted?
Have the young couple on the platform spotted me taking a photo or have they heard the magnificent sound of the 92 cruising through the loop at Crewe and are wondering what beauty will emerge into view??
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92043 runs through Crewe on its way from Crewe ETD to Wembley Carriage Sheds as 0Z92. The loco had been in Crewe for tyre-turning and some other bits and bobs. Once it had made it to Wembley it was due to have an Exam prior to returning to front-line Sleeper activities later in the week.
However, after 010 developed some issues on the Highlander ECS working (5S95) later that evening, 043 (which by then had made it to Wembley) was subbed-in to take over from 010 on the Down Lowlander (1S26).
