Locomotive Services’ Class 47, 47593 "Galloway Princess" leads GBRf Rail Services’ failed Class 47, 47739 passed Moore Lane this afternoon with 5Z81 Leicester LIP to Kilmarnock Brodie's Works.
47 739 was taking the translator coaches from Leicester depot to Brodie’s to perform Class 317 unit moves to/from Ilford over the following couple of days, however it failed at Nuneaton and required rescuing. 47 593 ran as 1Z99 from Crewe Diesel depot and took the train as far as Carlisle, where sister GBRf 47, 47 727 took over and topped the working to Kilmarnock where it eventually arrived just over four hours late.
