Entering the Yard
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92038 heads into Basford Hall yard with a special ECS move to take a rake of ex-Caledonian Sleeper Mk3 Sleepers to their new owners.
The move - running as 5Z91 - saw 15 of the Mk3s being worked from Wembley Carriage Sheds to Crewe Gresty Green. There they were collected by Locomotive Services' 37 667 and taken into Crewe Diesel.
The consist was: 92038 + 10688 + 10504 + 10675 + 10648 + 10650 + 10520 + 10513 + 10719 + 10714 + 10565 + 10529 + 10597 + 10543 + 10519 + 10683
Nine of the rake are for LSL for use in their charter fleet once refurbed and upgraded, four for onward transfer to the East Lancs Railway (10529 + 10565 + 10714 + 10719) and the remaining two for volunteer/staff accommodation at Telford Steam Railway (10543) and the Ivatt 10000 Recreation Society based at Wirksworth (10597).
