37 Back on the Sleeper - in Crewe!!
Locomotive Services' Class 37, 37667 / D6851 snakes a rake of 15 ex-Caledonian Sleeper Mk3 sleeper coaches through Crewe Diesel.
After 92 038 had brought the rake north from Wembley as 5Z91 to Crewe Gresty Green, 37667 collected the stock and took it into the depot. The first five coaches were then detached and shunted into the former mail sidings.
The consist was: 37667 + 10683 + 10519 + 10543 + 10597 + 10529 + 10565 + 10714 + 10719 + 10513 + 10520 + 10650 + 10648 + 10675 + 10504 + 10688
Nine of the rake are for LSL for use in their charter fleet once refurbed and upgraded, four for onward transfer to the East Lancs Railway (10529 + 10565 + 10714 + 10719) and the remaining two for volunteer/staff accommodation at Telford Steam Railway (10543) and the Ivatt 10000 Recreation Society based at Wirksworth (10597).
