Blast From the Past

British Railways Standard Class 7 70000 "Britannia" blows off steam as it brings the Saphos Trains' "Emperor of the North" railtour to a halt at Hartford to pick up passengers on its way from Crewe to Carlisle (1Z70).

From Carlisle the beautifully turned out engine and stock made their way around the Cumbrian Coast Line before rejoining the WCML at Carnforth for the journey back to Crewe.
