Super Smart Sleeper
GB Railfreight's resplendent Class 92, 92 020 - returned to service after almost 18 years in store - stands at the head of an equally smart rake of Mk5s having brought the Caledonian Sleeper Lowlander service south from Glasgow (1M11).
This was only 92020's eighth main trunk on the Beds, although it had also had 24 outings on the Carstairs portion since reinstatement. Having taken a while to settle down, 020 is now becoming a steady performer on the Sleeper workings.
92 006 was on the other end ready to work the ECS draw-back to Wembley (5M11) - meaning both reinstated Class 92s were Top 'n' Tailing a train together for the first time since being brought back into use. With over 31 years in store between them, this represents an investment of around £4m by GBRf in their 92 fleet.
