Last Tug Standing

With 60 029 being the fifth Class 60 to move to Toton a few days previously as part of the reinstatement programme for DCR/Cappagh, the six Class 60s that had been stored at Crewe ETD since 2014 have now been whittled down to just one - 60 082.

60082, stored in November 2008 and formerly named "Mam Tor", is expected to stay at Crewe for the time being.

Behind 60082 is 90021 (stored in January 2016) - the last remaining Class 90 in First ScotRail livery. This had previously been on the far end of the "60s row". 92s 004 and 008 are due to be moved to the row behind 90021, having been immediately outside the main depot building for many years.

The storage line to the left of 60082 remains unchanged:

Class 90, 90025 [RfD Grey] (January 2004)

Class 90, 90031 "The Railway Children Partnership" [EWS] (December 2007)

Class 92, 92031 [DB Red] (June 2015)

Class 92, 92009 "Marco Polo" [DB Red] (August 2012)

(Out of sight behind 92 009 is its sister loco 007 and then 90 026.)
