GB Railfreight Class 73/9, 73 971 gets a tow from fellow GB locomotive Class 66, 66 708 "Jayne" through Hartford on the long journey back to Craigentinny from Eastleigh Works.
"McED" 73971 had been to Eastleigh to receive new wheelsets and was returning to Caledonian Sleeper duties in Scotland. Despite 73971 being the last of the reengineered Class 73s to be released from Loughborough Brush in late 2016, it was already in need of new wheelsets with leaf-fall seasons having been particularly unkind to the sleeper Class 73/9s.
