Brush Bookends
Two thirds of the GB Railfreight's "Rail Services" Class 47 fleet get some stock moving practice in as 47 727 "Edinburgh Castle / Caisteal Dhún Éideann" and 47 749 "City of Truro" (nearest the camera) arrive at Crewe having escorted Class 92, 92 043, from the Brush works at Loughborough as 0Z81.
92043 had been in the works since the start of the year to be the final active Class 92 to receive the CAF mods to enable it to operate the new Mk5 Caledonian Sleeper stock.
Both recently-repainted 47749 and 47727 have also received coupling and electrical modifications to enable them to deliver new Bombardier stock from Derby to customers around the UK. The 47s also have Dellners for their new role, however unlike the 92 (and 73/9s) theirs are removable - and are also at a different height.
