Caledonian Convoy

Not the greatest Class 92 photos I'll ever take, but it's not every day (or night) you see a convoy of three 92s heading north to prepare for the launch of the brand new Mk5 Caledonian Sleeper stock.

GB Railfreight's 92043 leads stablemates 92014 and 92020 (both DIT) as they leave Crewe station bound for Polmadie on 0Z92. 043 and 014 had moved to Crewe from Wembley earlier in the night (also as 0Z92) and had collected 020 from the Crewe neck siding prior to embarking on the next leg of the journey to Scotland.

The three engines have had the CAF mods and all have had their ETS configured to 1500v ETS ready for the launch of the Mk5 stock on the Lowlander service (1M11/1S26) on the following Sunday night (28th April).
