A rare triple header on the front of the 6X41 STVA working from Dagenham to Garston is seen in the early morning light at Coppenhall (near Crewe). Recently reinstated GB Railfreight Class 92, 92 020 leads the consist and is the only locomotive under power.
Class 66s, 66 735 and 66 754 "Northampton Saints" are DIT providing 254 tonnes of extra ballast for 020 to flex her rejuvenated muscles with.
66735 had been accompanying 92020 as "insurance" as part of her return to mainline service after 18 years and 66754 had worked the additional 6X43/6L47 service earlier in the week and was being returned north from Dagenham. Once at Garston, 66754 took over insurance duties and 66735 ran back light to Crewe then on to Toton.
