Touch and Go

With OHLE issues in the Law Junction area requiring a significant stretch of the WCML in Scotland to be isolated (including south of Carstairs) it was touch and go at one point whether 1S26 was going to leave Euston.

Having made a last minute dash to London to catch 1S26 and make sure I had a trip behind GBRf's 92 032 before it becomes a tunnel/freight only locomotive, I was pleased when the go ahead was given for 1S26 to start its long journey north.

It ended up being a (much) longer than anticipated trip behind 92032 on the Caledonian Sleeper Lowlander - and to Edinburgh rather than Glasgow, but more of that later!

Still to undergo its main overhaul, 032 still carries GB's previous parent company's branding, despite Europorte selling GB to Hector Rail in 2016.
