Beds Behind Time

Freightliner Class 90, 90 042, speeds through Hartford station with the heavily delayed (112 Late) 1M16 Caledonian Sleeper service from Inverness, Fort William and Aberdeen to London Euston. The Fort William portion had been held up by almost two hours due to a lineside power failure at Yoker (Glasgow) caused by a frazzled rodent in a junction box - that after it had to run as ECS due to an issue with the ETH equipment at Fort William.

Two Freightliner 90s remain on hire to GBRf for the Sleeper operations to cover for 92s going through Brush for the CAF mods. 90042 was due to return to Freightliner at Crewe Basford Hall after its duties on 1M16 for an A Exam, with another 90 being sent south to replace it.

Thanks driver for the wave!
