Hard Night's Work Done

GBRf's Class 47, 47 749 "City of Truro" - in the unbranded livery of its previous owners, Colas - ramps up the power as it leaves Edinburgh Waverley with the 5B26 Caledonian Sleeper empty coaching stock move back to Polmadie depot.

47749 had previously worked the Edinburgh portion of the Lowlander (1C11/1B26) - putting in a spirited performance on 1B26 to recover a 12 Late departure from Carstairs.

As it departs Waverley, City of Truro passes fellow Brush locomotive, Class 92, 92 023 - stabled for the day after working the Highlander (1S25) north from Euston overnight.
