Direct Rail Services Class 68, 68 001 "Evolution" leads a trio of DRS locomotives on the return leg of a test run from Crewe Gresty Bridge DRS to Preston and back (0Z68). It is believed the run was primarily to test recently overhauled Class 37/0, 37 038 - on the rear of the consist as it passed through Hartford. Along for the ride and providing some ballast was Class 57/3, 57 307 "Lady Penelope".
