Together At Last

In 2018, the Caledonian Sleeper Mk2s owned by Serco were sold to Eastern Rail Services, who then leased them back to Serco. Some of the coaches received mechanical refurb work and a new coat of Caledonian Sleeper “Midnight Teal” paint at the Weardale Railway.

 

The various ERS-owned Midnight Teal-liveried Mk2s move around the sets and I believe two of them in the matching colours haven't been together for some time.

 

Mk2e Brake Unclassified Open 9800 and Mk2f Restaurant Lounge Open 6700 stand at Edinburgh as part of a diverted 1S26. They were the brake/seats and lounge for the Glasgow portion of the Caledonian Sleeper Lowlander service, but ended up at Edinburgh due to severe disruption caused by OHLE issues in the Law Junction/Carstairs area.
