Deferred Debussy Debut
Having been originally released from Brush after major overhaul and modifications on Friday 15th September, GBRf Class 92, 92043, needed to go back in for some remedial work on Sunday 24th September. The work was completed within a week, however 8th October was the next opportunity 92043 could be brought back to Crewe to resume mainline testing and/or a return to revenue-earning traffic.
92 043 was hauled on 0K50 Toton North Yard to Crewe Holding Sidings (via Loughborough Brush) by 66 763 "Severn Valley Railway" to Crewe station. The driver then changed ends and the two locos headed out to the "Holding Sidings" south of the station with 92043 leading under its own power.
