125 mph Slower Than Usual!
A pretty unusual sight of a Pendolino stopped in Winsford station (and not going through at 125 mph).
Virgin Trains West Coast Class 390 Pendolino, 390125 on 9M56 Edinburgh Waverley-Euston had triggered the hot axle indicator box further down the line, resulting in an automatic red signal at the end of Winsford's Up platform.
A full line block was put in place to allow the driver to perform a visual check. No issues were found and the train got back underway after a 14 minute delay.
