Thunderbirds Are Go (Except at Night)
Direct Rail Services Class 57/3, 57307 "Lady Penelope" settles down for the night at Crewe. DRS provide the Thunderbird services to Virgin Trains for the WCML. Whilst most of their action is seen moving other trains out of the way to keep the reliable Pendolinos and Voyagers going, as the contract is to support VT services, the engines are only manned for two eight hour shifts during VT's main operating times and are not typically staffed at night.
