35 Minutes and 35 Years Apart (Part II)
Following 1S25 and the old stock it is due to replace in the next few months, Class 92, 92 023 hauls a rake of the brand new Mk5 sleeper stock on a full "shadow Lowlander" test run through Hartford.
Running as 3Z26 London Euston to Glasgow Central, the test run was completed successfully, with 92023 doing the honours after under-going ETS reconfiguration at the last minute to work the return trip to London in place of Mk5 testing regular 038 which had suffered technical issues.
The half-set visible behind 92023 - "Unit 4" - was made up of:
