Normal service resumed
After a couple of weeks of loco shuffling on the Highlander - with GBRf Class 92s 010/014/043 and Freightliner 90 043 all involved - the recent usual suspects of 023 and 033 resumed on the night of Friday 20th July. 033 had a spell in the previous week on the 1C11/1B26 Edinburgh-Carstairs-Edinburgh portion.
It is believed the loco shuffling was part of the recent move of the maintenance contract for the GBRf Class 92s from Bombardier at Willesden TMD down the road to Alstom at Wembley InterCity Depot to allow each loco to visit its new "home".
Seen here approaching Winsford station 10 Early, 92 033 leads the 1M16 Up Highlander Caledonian Sleeper service from Inverness, Fort William and Aberdeen to London Euston.
