Derwentwater Reflections at Dusk, Lake District

Having been cloudy and wet all afternoon, I wasn’t expecting much as the hour came for sunset. However, the clouds retreated as the sun disappeared over the hills. The dying embers of light lit up the remaining clouds, reflected in the still, mirror-like surface of Derwentwater, disturbed only by a duck gliding across the scene.
