Part it Down the Middle, Please

With many of my images I have a pretty good idea where I want to go with them and how I want them to look when completed. There is, however, another side to me that enjoys picking an image and seeing where it might take me. This is one of those images. It started out as a simple clear glass with a bright yellow base and a clear sphere on top of the inverted base. I shot the original image using a flash unit lighting up a white screen behind and reflecting into a piece of black acrylic. With this version I choose several different techniques and filters to create the final result. I like to reach into that abstract side of my being and see where I end up.
