Stressed Gears Part 6: Riddle Me This
"I walk on four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three in the day" I said to myself.
I let out a soft laugh, it was funny due to the situation. There I stood, in front of William Tockman. He didn't notice me at first, so I had time to ask myself a riddle.
"Edward. I cannot say that I am pleased to see you. We did not leave on good terms."'
"We didn't did we, Will?"
The old man scowled. He like's being called William, and only William. Heard that almost every day in Arkham. I scowled under my mask as well.
"William." He said, his lips pursed together and angry.
"William, fine. So how's being dead?" I leaned on my staff.
"A man named Temple Fugate has stolen my title. I will take it back."
Now that intrigued me.
"Temple? Oh, he's a friend of mine." I nodded in agreeance with myself.
The old man's eyes lit up with anger, and his scowl returned. His well-worn face molded around the anger he was showing me, "Tell me where he is."
"Hah, I can't just tell you...you know me, William." I smirked underneath my mask, pleased with myself.
"Ask your damn riddle, Nygma."
"Calm down old man, you might give yourself a heart attack."
I pondered the riddle for a few moments before asking him.
"I am apart of everything, including you. Once I die, I will begin anew. As my life status becomes dire, I burn brighter and brighter. What am I?"
