Origin:

Ken was a street rat, a teenager living in alleyways and making due with what he had. He had his powers since birth, and they helped him in whatever brawls he wound up getting into on the streets. People mostly left him alone, knowing that if they did wind up fighting him it would be a losing battle, with the exception of a few criminal organizations such as the Sons of the Monster(Mr. Monster’s criminal syndicate). Mr. Monster wanted “the kid who survived” for his own purposes, perhaps to even use his DNA to create a new form of Goner. Before long, Ken was being chased down daily by men in monster masks. He grew tired of the routine and voices in his head kept telling him to give up, but he kept going, and on the advice of a fellow street kid, he decided to fight back. Eventually, he found a way to fake his own death to get the Sons of the Monster off of his tail. Stealing a skull mask from one of the thugs that were chasing him, along with a few pieces of clothing from a local store and creating a cape out of cloth, he became Afterlife
