Former Milwaukee Road H10-44 #763 is seen working for the Wisconsin Western at Madison, Wi. This road was created, along with the Central WIsconsin, to operate rail lines radiating outward from Madison, including those originally operated by the Milwaukee Road and Illinois Central. These roads were short lived and eventually replaced by the Wisconsin & Calumet in 1985.

Several years earlier, Bud Bulgrin caught this short freight traversing between University Avenue and the Shorewood Hills neighborhood on April 1, 1983.
