Extra 8027 headed up the hill from Caliente. This train is made up of two Athearn CNW SD60s from the most recent run, a UP SD50 from an early run, followed by Tangent Scale Models PS4000 hoppers from the first and second runs. Following it all is a Bluford Shops MoPac caboose. The use of this locomotive and caboose combo was seen several times in use on Powder River trains traveling through Wisconsin...so why not Tehachapi as well?
