African pied wagtail, (Motacilla aguimp).

Taken in Mana Pools National Park, near the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe.

 

This delightful little bird is Africa’s only wagtail. From its perch on the bank of the Zambezi River, with its tail continually bobbing up and down, it made frequent flights out to catch insects - quite unconcerned about us.
