Bellbird.

Situated on the Old Mary River Rail Trail at Brooloo is this delightful colony of Bellbirds, Estimated to be about 150 of these hyperactive little birds which provide a continuous “tinkling” chorus for trail riders and walkers.

 

The bell miner, commonly known as the bellbird, is a colonial honeyeater, endemic to southeastern Australia. The common name refers to their bell-like call. ‘Miner' is an old alternative spelling of 'myna', and is shared with other members of the genus Manorina
