All About Delta-8

There is new #cannabis news now more than ever, and many people are now looking at the new cannabis alternative called delta-8. With more and more getting rid of the “lazy stoner” mindset, more people are looking at other #cannabinoid options, and that’s where #delta-8 is coming in. it’s still a grey topic, but here we’ll go over why this is considered legal cannabis.

What is It?

Delta 8 is basically similar to delta-9, which is a cannabinoid in the plant itself. They’re so similar, but #delta-9 gives you the high, and delta-8 does the same, but to a smaller amount.

This is a cannabinoid that does bind to the receptors, giving you the same head rush, but it’s not as strong.

This is much less potent, but also gives you the popular benefits of #THC and #CBD as well. This is basically a loophole simply because they’re basically legal so long as the plant it comes from doe shave less than Delta-9 in terms of #THC.

Is it Really Lega?

While many do believe that it’s fully legal, there are a few things that are very important to know when you’re buying this, and also involving the transport of products that do end up containing this.

Delta-8 does work in smaller numbers in the hemp plant, and usually, these products become delta-9 products through synthetic means. The conversion is still a gray area legally when it comes to the law federally, and it may not be totally legal in some cases. There are some states as well that ban the sales of this simply because it does come from the same place delta-9 does.

And right now, the DEA is trying to push for legislation that would say that delta-8 is considered a controlled substance. This would make it a bit more distinct legally from CBD, but also does put it in the same place as heroin and cocaine, and this can actually put a larger crackdown on anything synthetic, so it’s not totally accurate to put it in the same place.

This gets this distinction because it doesn’t happen in enough large amounts for viable production commercially, and instead is extracted through the CBD in the hemp plant ,created synthetically to be resold as recreational or through therapeutic drug scales.

Is it CBD Then?

They may seem similar, but they’re not the same. Both of these are consider the main part of “weaker” forms of cannabis products that tend to not have as strong of a high, though some of the therapeutic elements of this are much more pronounced, as those who use Delta-8 do have similar effects.

Both do come from the #cannabis #plant, and this is happening naturally. To produce this on a more massive scale, this is something that is synthetically made via CBD as well.

One of these were made possible for #consumers to get through the farm bill, and that is still subject to regulation in a few states.

While they might seem similar, they do come from different chemical markets and users.# CBD doesn’t have any psychoactive, but some do say it does help with stress relief, but delta-8 does on the other hand, and is considered another form of THC, despite not being as psychoactive, and isn’t as potent as delta-9 is in a lot of cases.

It is something that is still being figured out today though, with retailers trying to discern the differences of each.

There is still a lot to be said about this, and right now, with the legal concerns in place, it’s hard to get a full understanding.
