The Limestone, Victoria Bridge, River Mourne 25 Feb 2024 DSC_1242-2
The Limestone is a large rock formation located upstream of the old Breen GNR railway bridge on the west bank of the River Mourne. Access onto the rock during most water levels will require a short wade. It's an ideal position to cast a flyline to cover the pool. It's quite likely that some salmon will lie at this location especially after negotiating the fast flowing waters of Paddy’s Stream or Breen Streams.
The Limestone is accessible from the steps at the side of Victoria Bridge and walking downstream to the pool.
