Strabane Bridge & Connelly's Stream, River Mourne 11 Feb 2024 DSC_1190

Predomanently, fly fishing for salmon and sea trout. Many years ago it was a prolofic sea trout stream, however now-a-days with the decline in sea trout numbers the stream is not fished as regularly as it once was.

Accessible from old Strabane Bridge via Mourneside Street and over the flood defence wall using the galvanised access steps. Head upstream towards strabane bridge and then fish down stream. Thigh or chest wadder will be required, predomanently a gravel bottom so the wading is fairly good underfoot.
