Big Man... Modded Car?
I always found it hilarious that they gave Batou, a bulky, body-building cyborg, a car notorious for being small and cramped... and yet this particular Stratos seemed spacious enough that the Big Man and Togusa could ride comfortably together without any "man touching." So the natural conclusion is that the ways in which the anime car differed from the real-life version--the taller profile, the yellow wheels, whatever's going on with that hood scoop... were meant to indicate mods and not just artistic license.
