Isolation and leadership

Training, hardships, and isolation. Was it worth it to make commander? Terra could hardly tell at this point. Nils, once her mentor, had become her secret lover. Her sister, Tina, was suffering from the trauma of SOLDIER treatment. Her brother Tim was repeatedly dealt a bad hand, losing his partners and unborn children. The only one stable was Tim's twin, Trent, who was happily married and expecting triplets.

After the incident with Ahjir, she came to terms with the fact that even scars did not protect her against male advancement, which she feared for so long due to her traumatic youth. With Nils' support, she eventually had the surgery to have the burns repaired, leaving thin scars across her face that she often covers with a little make-up to avoid looks.

Terra found herself pregnant with her first child--Temperance. Confined to a desk after she found out, it was a nightmare to lead from that position with internal issues going on between her company and the Turks. Three of her MPs defected to AVALANCHE--Terra knew that she had to face the toughest decision thus far-- putting out a warrant for the MPs that had been so integral in the redefining of the company.

After giving birth to her daughter, decided to hang up her commander hat and continue her career in the reserves. It was from there that she spent years traveling from the Northern Continent to help establish a force up there and returning home to report her findings.

When push finally came to shove--after her son was born--she needed to find a new path for herself, one that would ultimately put her in the largest danger, but protect her family so long as she remained loyal--a price to pay for their freedom.
